Use a tool someone shared with you
You don’t need to open the Applane builder or buy a seat to use a finished tool. Start with the published link your colleague sent you.
Open the tool
Section titled “Open the tool”- Open the link and sign in with your work Google account if asked.
- Review any Google permissions screen. If the app name or requested access is unexpected, check with the person who shared it.
- Follow the tool’s form or instructions to complete your task. Bookmark the link if you use it regularly.
An internal tool uses your own access to company data. Its records stay in your company’s Google environment; Applane does not receive them or track who opens the app.
If something isn’t working
Section titled “If something isn’t working”| Problem | Who can help |
|---|---|
| The app won’t open | Check your work account, then ask the tool owner to confirm they sent the published link. |
| You see an access error or missing records | Ask the owner whether you have access to the Sheet or other source the tool uses. |
| A button or result looks wrong | Tell the owner what you were doing and what you expected. They can update the app. |
| Google keeps choosing the wrong account | Open the link in the browser profile for your work account. |
The app may have its own activity records under your company’s policies. Ask the owner or IT if you need to know who can see those records.
Suggest an improvement
Section titled “Suggest an improvement”Describe the task and the change that would help: “Show requests waiting for my approval first.” The owner can make and test the update in Applane.
If you’d like to help build it, ask your admin for building access, then follow Sign in to build.
