Your company needs to finish setup and give you building access before you sign in. If you only want to use a tool someone shared, open its link instead. You don’t need a builder seat.

1. Open Applane

Go to app.applane.dev in Chrome or Edge. There is nothing to install.

Use a browser profile with your work account. If you use two accounts from the same company, give each its own browser profile to avoid Google opening the app with the wrong one.

2. Sign in with your work account

Click Sign in and choose your work account. Google’s permissions screen uses the app name your IT team configured. Review the permissions and continue.

3. Complete the one-time Google setting

On your first visit, Applane may ask you to turn on the Google Apps Script API. This lets your account create and update the tools you build.

1. Follow the link, or open Google’s Apps Script settings.
2. Set Google Apps Script API to On.
3. Return to Applane. It checks again when you return to the tab.

You are ready to build your first tool.

If you cannot sign in

What you see	What to do
unknown_domain	Ask your company’s Applane admin whether setup and domain verification are complete.
seat_cap_reached or not_allowlisted	Ask the admin named in the message to give you building access.
billing_required	Ask the account owner to check the subscription.
extension_too_old	Reload the page. This older error name refers to the website version; there is no extension to install.
access_denied	Try your work account. If it still fails, send the error to IT.

If Google repeatedly asks you to sign in, check that your browser’s privacy settings allow Google’s sign-in to work, or ask IT for help. More sign-in errors.
