A few minutes for a routine update

An advisory is a notice that your app needs attention, often because Applane’s shared app components have changed since you built it. It doesn’t necessarily mean you did anything wrong.

You will see a marker on the app’s home-screen entry and a notice inside the app. Read the notice for the reason and the suggested fix.

Handle an update

1. Open the affected app and read the advisory.
2. Use its action button. Some fixes update shared files; others prepare changes for you to review.
3. Follow the instructions, test the result and publish if the notice asks you to update the live version.

Check the task your colleagues rely on, such as submitting a request and seeing it in the right Sheet. If you aren’t sure about the change, ask IT or another editor to review it with you.

How urgent is it?

Severity	What to do	Effect on publishing
Info	Read it when convenient.	No restriction.
Warning	Plan to fix it soon.	You may need to confirm before publishing.
Critical	Review and fix it before the next release.	Publishing is blocked until fixed or dismissed with a reason.
Emergency	Contact IT and follow the notice promptly.	Publishing is blocked; a deployment is allowed only if it applies the fix.

Emergency fixes may be applied automatically when a known compromised dependency needs replacing. They use predefined updates, not a change invented by the AI.

What the action names mean

Action	What happens
Re-push	Updates Applane’s shared app files.
Transform	Prepares a defined change to your app for review.
Repair prompt	Asks the AI to prepare a fix for you to check.
Re-publish	Updates the version your team opens.
Config change	Guides you through a setting or permission change; IT may need to help.
Regenerate	Rebuilds the app and gives you a review checklist.

You can dismiss a warning or critical advisory with a reason, saved with the app. Use this only after reviewing why it applies. Emergency notices cannot be dismissed.
